Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 8 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 lemon, for juice
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp honey
- Spaghetti — buy 1 lb (need 1 lb)
- Parsley — buy 1 bunch (need 2 tbsp)

Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.

Step 2: While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Step 3: Stir in the cayenne pepper and then reduce the heat to low. Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan along with the reserved pasta water. Toss to coat the spaghetti with the oil and garlic mixture.

Step 4: Add honey, and toss again to evenly distribute. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 5: Remove the pan from heat and add chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice. Toss once more to combine all ingredients.

Step 6: Serve the spaghetti in bowls, garnished with a pinch of cayenne if desired, and enjoy.
